Our story in Stouffville
A growing family… since 1983.
When Dr. Bob opened his practice in 1983, it occupied two rooms in a century home just west of today’s location. He and his wife, Julie, lived in a one-bedroom apartment upstairs. Julie helped with everything from assisting to accounts and keeping the office running. In those early days, a busy day could mean three patients.
As their family and the practice grew, they needed more space. In 2001, Bob designed and built the office at 12 Park Drive South, creating room for more providers, updated equipment and easier parking.
Through those changes, the relationships remained central. Patients kept returning, and Bob kept doing the work he loved.
After more than 40 years in practice, Bob recently began a new chapter by choosing Dr. Tarra Elliott to take ownership.
Their history matters. He had known her for nearly 20 years, knew her commitment to her patients, and felt confident that she shared the values that had guided Park Drive Dental from the beginning. His decision grew out of that longstanding trust. Since the transition, he continues on with the practice today.
At the outset of her career, Dr. Elliott spent 10 years as a dentist in Unionville. So, taking ownership was an exciting opportunity to get back to working within the community - where she already has many familiar patients. She is focused on caring for those relationships, developing new and nurturing the well established clinic Bob built over the last 40 years in Stouffville. With Dr. Bob continuing to see patients and the familiar team remaining in place, there is continuity in the people patients see and the care they receive.
Dr. Bob Boadway
Dr. Bob Boadway
Founder & Dentist | Serving the Stouffville community for over 40 years.
For Dr. Bob Boadway, Stouffville has always been home. He was born here, went to school here, raised his five daughters here and has cared for local smiles since 1983. To generations of patients, he is simply “Dr. Bob.”
Bob’s practice began in a small, two-room office in a century home, with a one-bedroom apartment upstairs that he shared with his wife and high-school sweetheart, Julie. Julie helped with everything from dental assisting to managing the accounts, and a busy day in those early years might mean seeing three patients. Together, they built a practice rooted in personal relationships.
As the practice grew, Bob designed and built the current office at 12 Park Drive South, opening its doors in 2001. Through every stage, his enjoyment of dentistry has centred on the people he sees: catching up with familiar patients, hearing about their families and helping them care for their oral health over time.
His connection to Stouffville extends beyond the office. Over the years, Bob has supported Markham Stouffville Hospital, participated in the town’s Santa Claus Parade and contributed to local fundraising and community traditions.
Outside the practice, Bob enjoys spending time with Julie, their daughters and their grandchildren. He keeps active with hockey, skiing and snowboarding in winter, and cycling and water skiing in summer. Time at the farm, trips to the cottage and travelling with Julie round out a busy life.
After more than 40 years, Bob still looks forward to coming through the office door. He continues to see patients at Park Drive Dental, bringing the warmth, humour and personal attention that have made him a familiar part of so many families’ lives.
Dr. Tarra Elliott
Dr. Tarra Elliott
Owner & Dentist | Serving GTA community for over 20 years.
Dr. Tarra Elliott has been practising dentistry in the Greater Toronto Area for more than 20 years. She spent the first decade of her career working with Dr. Kevin Brown in Unionville, caring for patients in a family-focused practice. It was through those years that she came to know Dr. Bob Boadway, beginning a professional relationship that now spans nearly two decades.
Tarra also served as President of the York Region Dental Society. Her connection to this region runs through both her work with patients and her involvement in the wider dental community.
After training at Dalhousie University, Tarra built her career across family and cosmetic dentistry. Her years in Unionville were followed by work in a cosmetic practice in Yorkville and, later, leadership of her own Toronto practice, Eglinton Way Dentistry. Those experiences shaped an approach that considers each patient’s oral health, comfort and personal priorities.
At Park Drive Dental, Tarra works alongside Bob and the team to provide thoughtful, personal care. She takes time to get to know patients, listen to their concerns and explain their treatment options. For patients who have trusted the practice for years, she understands that feeling comfortable with a new dentist begins with being heard.
Raised on a farm in Saskatchewan, Tarra values the familiarity and connection of a close-knit community. Her husband grew up on a farm in Nova Scotia, and their two sons, both nationally competitive swimmers, keep family life busy.
